SmartLeges is a free and essential application for professionals and students in the legal sector.
These are some of its features:
- New search feature to find almost any law of the legislation in several countries. Search for any law and any version through the new advanced search form. Receive notifications when a law is updated. All legislation within reach.
- Law reader with underline function, notes, bookmarks, table of contents, text search… Configure the font size and color, background and underline color, etc. Share articles via email.
- Offline mode. Access your information even without Internet connection.
- Cross-platform. SmartLeges uses Cloud technology so that you use the device you need in every moment. You will always have the same information available on all devices.
- Create legal matters sorted by status (active, paused, finished). Add a description and link laws, articles, underlines and notes to access more easily the information you need.
- High security storage. SmartLeges uses 256-bit SSL encrypted connections in all communications and synchronization processes with daily backups in geo redundant servers.

Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged the price listed at the top of this screen for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the Account Settings screen in the App Store app on your device after purchase. It would be more interesting if there were available some more laws. Specially I think you should include the laws in force in the NY State (Civil Procedural laws, arbitration law, etc) as well as the regulations and laws related to the stock market (SEC, PCAOB, etc)
In spite of its designation as a free app, it provides literally no genuinely free content (to U.S. users, at least). Instead, you are prompted at every turn to pay $.99 for material that is freely available elsewhere (including in other iPhone apps) -- and has in no way been improved through any sort of labor or effort on the part of this opportunistic developer. Interested in reading one Title of the U.S.C.? Thatll be a buck. Need to read another one? Another dollar, please. Yuck. If youre going to try to test the boundaries of disingenuousness and flagrantly gouge people, at least do it by way of a more interesting app.
As a Criminal Justice student working towards my degree. This is a great app!
